Yoga Therapy - Private Lessons
Yoga therapy is a one-on-one complimentary therapy. A tailored home programme is designed to improve your current health. It is not a substitute for current treatment you may be undertaking, Yoga therapy works alongside all other health modalities.
People seek yoga therapy with conditions such as arthritis, chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, restless leg syndrome, high blood pressure, emotional disturbance and insomnia. However a general programme to maintain good health is also a service we provide, as prevention is better than cure.
The goal is to bring the individual back to wholeness. The focus is not on the imbalance/illness but on the whole person and to re-balance their life.
A spectrum of yoga tools which have been tried and tested over thousands of years and which are now receiving scientific kudos are applied in a specific way to enhance, improve and maintain your health and overall wellbeing.
The process
An initial consultation of 1 to 1.5 hours is a process whereby a person’s health history is reviewed, needs and requirements of the student is discussed; an observation process and overall lifestyle consultation is taken.
After the assessment a daily practice is provided for the student to take home. This is written up at the consultation and given to the student to practice at home. Recommendations to support improving and maintaining good health are also provided. Support is available online or over the phone between sessions.
As yoga therapy is an integrative approach, we are happy to liaise with any other health practitioners you may be seeing.
Online private lessons
If you live in a rural area or a long distance from sriYoga’s Brighton East studio, Louise offers an online service for private sessions.
Yoga therapy for health and healing is a process of three sessions over a month to establish a daily home practice. However if you are looking for a program to maintain optimum health and wellbeing, that is an available option too.
